Domestic Workers Steal Gold Worth Rs 45 Million from Karachi Home

Karachi witnessed one of the biggest theft incidents of the year after domestic workers allegedly fled with more than 100 tolas of gold from a house in Muhammad Ali Society. Police say the stolen gold jewelry is worth over Rs 45 million, and an FIR has been registered at Bahadurabad Police Station.

According to the complainant, the two domestic workers — identified as Nadia and Dilshad — were hired just a day earlier on the guarantee of the building’s watchman, who claimed they were sisters-in-law. The workers reportedly left the house around 6 pm, and when the women of the household returned later in the evening, they found cupboard locks broken and jewelry boxes scattered on the floor. Multiple gold sets, rings, and bangles were found missing. Police have initiated an investigation and action against the suspects is underway.
