Riyadh: Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, in Riyadh on September 25, 2026.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the outcomes of a recent meeting of defense chiefs and chiefs of general staff from countries participating in the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement. They also discussed regional security developments and security concerns affecting Saudi Arabia, including incidents involving Makkah and civilian and economic infrastructure.
The officials emphasized the continuation of coordinated efforts under the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement and discussed defense cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Defense Minister’s Adviser for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, and other Saudi and Pakistani officials.
