Karachi: A major power breakdown at the Papri Pumping Station has disrupted the city’s water supply, according to a spokesperson for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC).
The spokesperson said the pumping station’s power supply was completely suspended following the breakdown reported by K-Electric, affecting water pumping operations at the facility.
As a result of the power outage, water supply from the Papri Pumping Station to various parts of Karachi has been temporarily suspended.
The Water Corporation said water supply operations will resume once electricity is restored by K-Electric. The pumping station will return to normal operations following the restoration of power.
Residents in areas dependent on the Papri Pumping Station may experience temporary disruption in water availability until the electricity supply is restored.
