Changsha, China: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon held a multilateral dialogue with Yang Haodong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, in Changsha, China.
Special Assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister Qasim Naveed Qamar, Pakistan’s Consul General in Guangzhou Yasir Iqbal Butt, and other government officials also attended the meeting.
Delegations from Belarus, Russia and Mexico participated in the multilateral dialogue, which focused on strengthening cooperation and expanding engagement across multiple sectors.
During the dialogue, Sharjeel Inam Memon highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Sindh government to modernize and improve public transportation. He said that electric buses, double-decker buses, BRT corridors and electric taxis are being introduced to provide improved and modern transport facilities to the people.
The Sindh Senior Minister also expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with Hunan Province in areas including energy, transportation, food and agriculture.
Yang Haodong emphasized the importance of expanding business cooperation in areas including transportation, energy and infrastructure development, while encouraging greater engagement between the two sides.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore avenues for broader cooperation between Sindh and Hunan and to promote economic and institutional linkages across multiple sectors.
