September 13: Sindh’s Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a rain advisory, directing emergency services to remain on high alert.
Sindh CM’s Adviser Gianchand Esrani ordered PDMA, Rescue 1122, deputy commissioners and relevant departments to keep staff and machinery ready to deal with possible emergencies.
Intermittent rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds are expected across various parts of Sindh from September 13 to 16, while Karachi may receive light rain with thunderstorms from September 14 to 16.
Authorities have been directed to monitor low-lying and vulnerable areas and keep dewatering equipment operational. Esrani urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during the adverse weather.
