ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Air Force has identified the J-10CE multirole fighter credited with shooting down an Indian Air Force Rafale during the May 2025 India-Pakistan aerial clashes.
A newly released PAF photograph shows J-10CE serial 22-118, operated by No. 15 Squadron “Cobras,” carrying a Rafale kill mark on the left side of its nose.
The aircraft is associated with the engagement involving Indian Air Force Rafale EH BS001 during the May 2025 fighting.
The development highlights a notable milestone for the Pakistan Air Force, which is the only air force publicly known to have achieved an air-to-air combat kill against a Rafale fighter.
The pilot photographed alongside the aircraft is also seen wearing a patch commemorating “500+ hours of taming the beast.”
The Rafale kill marking on the J-10CE serves as a visible record of the claimed combat engagement and adds to the PAF’s account of its aerial operations during the May 2025 conflict.
