KP Governor Kundi Says Over 1,300kg of Explosives Used in Tank Checkpost Attack

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that more than 1,300 kilograms of explosives were used in the deadly terrorist attack on a joint security checkpost in Tank district.

Speaking to the media, Governor Kundi described the explosion as one of the most powerful attacks carried out in the region, highlighting the scale and sophistication of the assault. He praised the sacrifices of the security personnel who lost their lives while defending the country.

The attack targeted a joint police and security forces checkpost, resulting in multiple casualties and significant damage to the facility. Security agencies have launched a comprehensive investigation to determine how such a large quantity of explosives was transported and used.

Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to bringing those responsible to justice, while security measures have been tightened across sensitive areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to prevent further attacks.
