Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Warns US of ‘Unforgettable Lessons’ Amid Escalating Conflict

Published:

EHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned that the United States will face “unforgettable lessons” if it continues its military actions against Iran, as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.

In a written statement carried by Iranian state media, Khamenei accused Washington of repeatedly violating a memorandum of understanding previously signed between the two countries. He said the alleged breaches had demonstrated that U.S. President Donald Trump’s signature was “utterly worthless and devoid of credibility.”

Khamenei said that if the United States continued to intensify the conflict, “the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front have unforgettable lessons in store” for Washington, signaling that Tehran was prepared to respond to further military pressure.

His remarks came after a ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States collapsed, leading to renewed exchanges of strikes and raising fears of a broader regional conflict involving key U.S. allies in the Gulf.

The latest statement underscores the sharp deterioration in relations between Tehran and Washington, with international concern growing over the risk of further escalation across the Middle East.
