PESHAWAR: Five suspected terrorists were killed during a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Peshawar, according to security officials.
The operation was carried out near Shamshato Camp within the jurisdiction of Urmar Police Station after intelligence reports indicated the presence of suspected militants.
Officials said the suspects opened fire when CTD teams entered the compound, triggering an exchange of fire. Following the encounter, security personnel launched a search and clearance operation in the area.
Authorities said further investigation is underway, while the identities and other details of the suspects are being ascertained.
