KARACHI, September 19, 2026: Director of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Karachi Zone Muntazir Mehdi visited Jinnah International Airport and conducted a detailed review of FIA immigration operations, according to FIA officials.
During the visit, Muntazir Mehdi observed the passenger clearance process at immigration counters and reviewed arrangements for immigration screening.
The FIA Karachi Zone Director directed officials to ensure that passengers receive better facilities and efficient immigration screening, while strictly complying with all legal requirements during the immigration process.
He also instructed officials to further strengthen the scrutiny of suspicious travel documents and maintain strict monitoring to prevent human trafficking and illegal immigration.
Muntazir Mehdi emphasized that genuine passengers should not face unnecessary difficulties during immigration clearance. He also reviewed the performance of immigration officers and personnel deployed at the airport.
The FIA Director directed officials to maintain professionalism and transparency in the performance of their duties and stressed the importance of courteous and respectful behaviour towards passengers.
