Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has claimed that a man was arrested for allegedly spreading anti-state content online in exchange for financial support from India.

Speaking to the media, Tarar said the suspect was accused of using social media platforms to disseminate material aimed at undermining Pakistan’s national interests. He further alleged that the individual received funding from Indian sources in return for these activities.

According to the minister, law enforcement agencies carried out the arrest as part of ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and protect national security. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of the alleged network and any possible accomplices.

The allegations have not been independently verified, and further details are expected as the investigation progresses. Officials say legal proceedings will continue in accordance with Pakistani law.
