Karachi, September 16, 2026: Inspector General of Police Sindh Javed Alam Odho inaugurated the Crime Monitoring and Task Force Cell established at the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by KATI President Akram Rajput, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, Senior Vice Presidents Zahid Hameed and Syed Talha Ali, former presidents including Sheikh Umar Rehan, Masood Naqi, Syed Farrukh Azhar, Junaid Naqi and Ahteshamuddin, along with other KATI office-bearers.
Stronger Police-Industry Coordination
KATI President Akram Rajput thanked the Sindh IGP for visiting KATI and said his presence reflected the importance of maintaining a strong communication channel between the police and the business community.
He said the establishment of the Crime Monitoring and Task Force Cell was an important step toward strengthening cooperation between the police and the industrial and commercial community for crime prevention.
Rajput also appreciated the efforts of the Sindh IGP in addressing traders’ concerns and improving security in industrial areas. He said greater coordination between police and the business community could contribute to crime prevention and a safer environment for commercial activities.
Sindh Police Prioritizes Business Community’s Security
IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho said the protection of the business community and the maintenance of law and order in industrial areas remain among the top priorities of Sindh Police.
He emphasized that effective communication between the police and traders can assist in identifying and preventing criminal activity while improving public safety.
The IGP said every possible effort would be made to provide a secure environment for industrial and commercial activities. He added that modern mechanisms for crime identification, monitoring and timely response are also being strengthened.
Focus On Crime Prevention
Javed Alam Odho also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Sindh Police officers and personnel, saying their efforts have contributed to improvements in the city’s law-and-order situation.
He said Sindh Police would continue fulfilling its responsibilities toward preventing crime and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
