KARACHI, September 19, 2026: The MDCAT (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) will be held in Karachi on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
The test will be conducted at NED University and Dow University’s Ojha Campus. Traffic congestion is expected on University Road and SUPARCO Road during the examination hours.
Karachi Traffic Police has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel on these roads and use alternative routes to reach their destinations.
Alternative Routes
From Malir Cantt and Safoora:
Citizens travelling towards Hassan Square and Tariq Road are advised to use Johar Road. Those coming from Malir Cantt can also use Kamran Chowrangi, Munawar Chowrangi and Johar Mor as alternative routes.
Citizens may also use routes via Pehlwan Goth and the Airport.
From Sohrab Goth:
Those travelling towards University Road and Johar are advised to use alternative routes. Citizens can travel via Maskan Chowrangi, Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani Road, Disco Bakery and Gulshan Chowrangi.
From Gulshan Chowrangi:
Citizens can use Rashid Minhas Road and NIPA to reach their destinations.
From Johar Chowrangi:
Citizens travelling towards University Road can use alternative routes via Johar Mor and Millennium.
From NIPA and University Road towards Safoora and Malir Cantt:
Citizens are advised to use alternative routes. Those coming from NIPA can travel via Samama, Johar Chowrangi, Munawar Chowrangi and Kamran Chowrangi.
Traffic Police has appealed to citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and traffic police personnel and follow traffic instructions to help maintain smooth traffic flow.
