Lahore: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said political differences should not prevent government representatives from attending the funerals of security personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty.
Speaking at a press conference, Naqvi said security personnel martyred in recent incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were martyrs of Pakistan and their sacrifices should not be associated with any particular political group.
He questioned the absence of provincial leadership and ministers from the funeral prayers of the fallen personnel, saying political differences should remain separate from respect for those who gave their lives while serving the country.
Naqvi said leaders should stand with the families of the deceased and pay respect to their sacrifices regardless of political differences.
