KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has declined to endorse claims linking Pakistan to the 2025 Pahalgam attack, stressing that such allegations should be supported by credible evidence.
In remarks reported by Indian media, Anwar said Malaysia’s intelligence assessment had not established Pakistan’s involvement in the attack. He also emphasized the importance of facts, evidence and international cooperation in addressing terrorism.
Anwar’s position comes amid continued debate over the Pahalgam attack and competing claims regarding Pakistan’s alleged involvement. Pakistan has repeatedly rejected the allegations and called for an independent, transparent and credible investigation into the incident.
