KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has congratulated doctors and medical staff at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) for successfully performing a highly complex operation to remove a bullet from the heart of a 12-year-old boy from Balochistan.
The Chief Minister praised the NICVD medical team for successfully carrying out the challenging procedure and described the achievement as a testament to the exceptional expertise and professionalism of Pakistani doctors.
Syed Murad Ali Shah said that removing the bullet without stopping the child’s heartbeat demonstrated the advanced medical skills available in Pakistan. He expressed pride in Sindh’s healthcare infrastructure and the province’s highly qualified medical professionals.
The Chief Minister said the Sindh government remains fully committed to providing free and high-quality healthcare facilities to the people. He added that investment in the health sector is now helping save human lives by providing patients with access to advanced treatment and specialist medical care.
Referring to the young patient from Khuzdar, the Chief Minister said that 12-year-old Jalil is recovering and is now returning home in a healthy condition following the successful treatment.
Murad Ali Shah appreciated the NICVD doctors, surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in the procedure. He said such complex and successful surgeries highlight the capabilities of Pakistan’s medical professionals and the importance of continued investment in modern healthcare facilities.
The Chief Minister reiterated that strengthening healthcare infrastructure and expanding access to advanced medical treatment remain important priorities of the Sindh government.
