Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) spokesperson Shazia Marri has condemned the reported attempt to carry out a drone attack toward Makkah Mukarramah, expressing concern over any threat to the sanctity and security of the holy city.
Marri said any action directed toward Makkah would hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims worldwide. She emphasized the exceptional significance of Makkah and the Holy Kaaba and said their sanctity must be protected.
She said sacred sites should remain protected from armed conflicts and called for efforts to prevent the holy city from becoming part of regional hostilities.
Solidarity With Saudi Arabia
Marri expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, reaffirming support for the protection of the two Holy Mosques.
She also called for greater unity among Muslim countries and emphasized the importance of peace, stability and de-escalation amid regional security concerns.
