ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reaffirmed its clear and strong support for Saudi Arabia amid growing tensions in the Middle East, stressing that it stands in complete solidarity with the Kingdom and its people.
Pakistan has reiterated its support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security, as regional tensions continue to raise concerns about the possibility of a wider conflict.
Pakistan’s position was also reflected at the United Nations Security Council, where Islamabad supported a resolution addressing attacks against Gulf states and reaffirmed solidarity with Saudi Arabia and other affected countries. Pakistan’s representative stressed that the country supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the states facing attacks.
The development comes against the backdrop of a growing strategic relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Islamabad and Riyadh have continued to strengthen their defence and security cooperation, with Pakistan maintaining that the security of Saudi Arabia remains an important priority.
Pakistan has also repeatedly called for restraint, dialogue and diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation in the region. Officials have warned that continued military confrontation could have serious consequences for regional stability, civilians and the wider global economy.
The latest statement reinforces Pakistan’s longstanding position that it will stand by Saudi Arabia during periods of heightened regional tension while continuing to support diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability.
