HANGU: Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kifayat Ullah Barki of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police embraced martyrdom during a security operation in Hangu, only three days after his wedding, officials said.
According to police sources, ASI Kifayat Ullah Barki was part of a security operation when armed militants opened fire. He sustained critical injuries while performing his duty and later succumbed to his wounds.
The incident has drawn widespread grief, particularly after it emerged that the officer had recently been married. Tributes have poured in from colleagues, public officials, and citizens, who praised his courage, dedication, and sacrifice in the line of duty.
