Houthis Claim Attacks on Saudi Oil Facilities in Jizan and Yanbu

Published:

SANAA: Yemen’s Houthi movement has claimed responsibility for launching military operations targeting oil facilities in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan and Yanbu regions, escalating tensions in the Middle East amid ongoing regional conflicts.

According to a statement released by the Houthis, the attacks were carried out using drones and missiles aimed at strategic energy infrastructure. The group said the operations were conducted in response to what it described as continued aggression against Yemen.

Saudi authorities have not immediately confirmed the extent of the reported attacks or any damage to the targeted facilities. There were also no immediate reports of casualties or disruptions to oil production.

The latest claims come as security concerns continue to grow across the region, with attacks on energy infrastructure raising fears over global oil supplies and regional stability. Analysts say such incidents could further complicate diplomatic efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East.

International observers are closely monitoring the situation, while calls for restraint and renewed diplomatic engagement continue to emerge amid fears of further escalation.
