Rawalpindi: Pakistan Navy’s newly inducted submarine PNS/M HANGOR has successfully conducted its maiden live weapon firing in the North Arabian Sea, engaging a designated long-range target with an anti-ship cruise missile, according to reports citing the Pakistan Navy.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf witnessed the firing and commended the submarine’s combat capabilities. The successful engagement demonstrated the platform’s weapon-system performance and operational readiness.
The firing marks an operational milestone for PNS/M HANGOR and highlights the Pakistan Navy’s focus on strengthening its subsurface warfare capabilities and maintaining readiness to safeguard the country’s maritime frontiers.
