KARACHI: Dr Usama, the doctor who conducted Mir Raza’s post-mortem examination, told the Judicial Commission that a bullet had struck Raza in the chest.
During the proceedings, Dr Usama said he stood by the findings of his post-mortem report and maintained that he had performed his professional duties honestly and in accordance with the requirements of his position.
The doctor’s statement formed part of the evidence being examined by the Judicial Commission in connection with the case. His testimony focused on the injuries recorded during the post-mortem examination and the findings documented in the official report.
Meanwhile, Judicial Commission Chairman Justice Umar Sial expressed concern over the non-submission of certain documents related to the case.
Justice Sial questioned why copies of Ali Shah’s statement had not been provided to the commission. He also criticised the submission of documents in installments, saying the commission required the relevant record to properly examine the matter.
The commission chairman directed the Additional Law Secretary to raise the issue with higher authorities and ensure that the required documents were submitted.
The proceedings continued as the commission examined witness testimony and official records concerning the case.
