SINGAPORE: Five young Pakistani taekwondo athletes have brought home five medals from the Grand Slam Youth Taekwondo League in Singapore, delivering a strong performance on the international stage.
Pakistan’s five-member contingent competed at the tournament held at Our Tampines Hub from July 24 to 26, alongside young athletes from more than 13 countries.
Qadeer Khan, Wajahat Ali Khan and Arham Manaf secured gold medals in their respective categories, while Ayan Miraj and Syed Ahmed Ayaz won bronze medals.
The result gave Pakistan a 100 percent medal success rate, with every member of its contingent finishing on the podium. The performance has highlighted the growing potential of young Pakistani athletes in taekwondo and provided valuable international exposure for the country’s emerging talent.
The achievement comes as Pakistan continues efforts to develop its taekwondo programme and prepare a new generation of athletes for major international competitions.
