BANNU: A joint security operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district resulted in the killing of one suspected terrorist and the arrest of eight others, officials said.
The operation was carried out by security forces and law enforcement agencies based on intelligence regarding the presence of suspected militants in the area. During the raid, one armed suspect was killed after an exchange of fire, while eight others were taken into custody for questioning.
Authorities said the operation is still underway, with search and clearance activities continuing to locate any remaining suspects or facilitators. Weapons and other evidence were also recovered from the site and are being examined as part of the investigation.
