LAHORE: Dr Wadiat Fatima, daughter of Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari, has successfully cleared the written examination of the Central Superior Services (CSS) 2026 competitive examination.
Her achievement has drawn congratulatory messages from political and social figures, relatives, friends and well-wishers.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat also congratulated Dr Wadiat Fatima and other successful candidates, praising their hard work, determination and perseverance in clearing one of Pakistan’s most competitive examinations.
According to the available CSS 2026 results, thousands of candidates competed in the written examination, while only a small percentage successfully qualified for the next stage of the selection process.
As per the reported figures, 24,321 candidates applied for the CSS 2026 written examination, while 17,351 appeared in at least one paper. Only 476 candidates successfully cleared the written examination, including 239 men and 237 women, resulting in an overall pass rate of 2.74 per cent.
The successful candidates will now proceed to the remaining stages of the CSS competitive process, including medical examination, psychological assessment and viva voce.
Rana Sikandar Hayat said that success in the CSS examination reflects the commitment and perseverance of Pakistan’s talented young people and marks the beginning of a new journey towards serving the country.
Meanwhile, Azma Bukhari thanked everyone who congratulated her daughter and said that Dr Wadiat Fatima’s success was the result of her consistent hard work, dedication and determination.
The CSS examination is conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) for recruitment to various occupational groups and services within Pakistan’s civil service.
